Local Alternative Fuel Vehicle Innitiatives

Fuel For Thought : Lecture Series

WImagee are thrilled to announce that the Fuel For Thought Lecture series is just around the corner! We will have three sessions on Compressed Natural Gas, Propane, and Electric Vehicles taking place on January 27th, February 24th, and March 24th respectively. This lecture series is made possible through the generous support of the Ohio Environmental Education Fund administered by Ohio EPA.  Each presentation will feature local fleet directors who are experienced in operating alternative fuel vehicle fleets, a representative from the National Alternative Fuels Training Center who will present on personnel training requirements, and a trade expert discussing the benefits of each alternative fuel.  Each presentation will also include the latest information on what funding opportunities are available for vehicle conversions and/or infrastructure installations.

Contact Christina at (216) 281-6468 to inquire about attending or sponsoring Fuel for Thought.

Midwest Electric Vehicle Opportunities: Learning, eVents, Experience initiative

Earth Day Coalition is happy to be a part of the Midwest Electric Vehicle Opportunities: Learning, eVents, Experience (Midwest EVOLVE) initiative.  Led by the Twin Cities Clean Cities Coalition, this is a collaborative effort between Chicago Area Clean Cities, Clean Fuels Ohio, Greater Lansing Area Clean Cities, North Dakota Clean Cities, South Shore Clean Cities, Wisconsin Clean Cities, Make Ideas Reality, and PlugInConnect.  As a collaborative partner, Earth Day Coalition will bring you a series of electric vehicle ride-n-drive events over the next three years.  Stay tuned for more details!

Midwest Drives

Midwest Drives is a US Department of Energy funded program to offer fleets free demonstrations of advanced and alternative fuel and technology vehicles. The demos come with data logging equipment which will help fleet administrators decide whether alternative fuel vehicles will work for their operations.

Earth Day Coalition is happy to partner with our neighboring Clean Cities Coalitions including Clean Fuels Ohio, Clean Energy Coalition, Greater Indiana Clean Cities and South Shore Clean Cities to bring you the Midwest Drives initiative.
